How did you choose your tech stack?
Zoe Li, Strategy at Mantle
Zoe highlighted the challenges of selecting the right tech stack with an ongoing debate between using the OP Stack vs zkEVM because “that's where the trend is going”, but it’s also important to be flexible and prioritize the technology based on the best user experience.
“We do want to be able to evolve with the industry, to integrate and plug into the latest technology that we can, to enable the best user experience.”
Victor Ji, Co-Founder at Manta Network
Victor agreed that optimizing the tech stack was about enabling a better user experience, “These fully on-chain games consume huge gas fees, that's what users complain about.”
Manta Network has a long roadmap and they’re committed to optimizing the tech stack to provide a superior UX for their customers, even if that means transitioning DA layers or execution layers down the road.
How do you see the L2, L3 space evolving?
Jerome de Tychey, CEO at Cometh
“In an ideal situation, we will browse the layers as we browse the web. It will be swift and easy for anyone to jump on a new website. Oh, it's an L4? Well, never mind. I'm just bringing my single sign on, which is my wallet, and I'm interacting right now.”
What’s the best way to do trust minimized messaging?
Mingshi Song, Head of Strategy at Astar
Mingshi and the team at Astar are working towards bringing real-world use cases on-chain. He underlines the importance of non-crypto native users being able to interact with these blockchain based systems in a way where they are “not feeling the blockchain.”
What is the failure model in each of your rollups? How are you planning to address these challenges?
Deli Gong, Co-Founder at Automata Network
Deli and the team at Automata Network are in a multistage testing phase, currently testing a single sequencer but with plans to move to multiple.
“In the future we might plug in some other DA layers too. So there’s definitely going to be a lot of other stages.”
