Road to Mainnet: May 2024

Introduction

We’re putting the final pieces in place as we gear up for Mainnet. This past month brought our weekly Hot Takes: Live! Series, Phase 2 of the Unification Drop, our Series A funding round, and we continue to expand our ecosystem. Let’s get to it!

Highlights

• Launched Phase 2 of the Unification Drop
• Announced our Series A funding round
• Announced partnerships with Xally, Klever Wallet,  zkCross, Fuse, BVM, Demex, Carbon, Gelato, Bware Labs, ZKCross and Delphinus, Meroku, TrueZK, Ankr, Particle Network, Nodekit, Rizelabs, Orbitron, and Fluent

Technical Update

• The team has been mainly focused on finishing the testing and any necessary last updates for the final versions of the Avail DA network components. 
• We are making improvements to the Light client and the behavior of the p2p network. You can see details on some of this here. 
• The last audits of all the network components have concluded and we have been working on remediations.

Network Update

• We will be sunsetting the Goldberg Testnet in the coming days. If you are currently running a node or building on Goldberg, we recommend that you decommission it.
• The Turing Testnet is live and will serve as our long-standing testnet. We do not have plans to expand the active set with additional validators. However, users are welcome to operate, test, or deploy their rollups on Turing.

At ZK Hack Krakow, Cluesum was the winner of the Avail track who built an accountable multi-signature with silent setup.
