This year will go down in history as the year Avail’s game changing DA network went live on mainnet, launched with the entire feature set of Full Danksharding. Avail forged strategic partnerships with the 5 major Ethereum Rollups including Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Starknet, and ZKsync and welcomed over 100 ecosystem partners.

Development
- Avail mainnet went live!

- We launched integrations with the 5 major Ethereum Rollup Stacks - Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, StarkWare, ZKSync and many more.
- Lens announced they will be deploying on Avail to build scalable and resilient decentralized social networks.
- Avail & Symbiotic announced a strategic partnership to integrate multi-asset re-staking into Fusion.
- Sophon, first validium to use external DA layer Mainnet went live with more than 2GB posted to Avail DA. Avail LST token holders are earning rewards in Sophon’s Farming program, and Aerodrome Finance is providing AERO rewards to AVAIL LPs on Base.

- stAVAIL token holders have been collecting rewards from Sophon & Avail’s Unified Token Initiative.
- AVAIL-USDC pool LP providers on Aerodrome finance (on Base chain) have earned ~166k USD worth of AERO within 2 months
Community
- Established the Avail Foundation to build digital, trust-minimized systems that help increase trust in our connected society.
- Grew a robust social media presence across multiple platforms, reaching over 665k+ community members globally, with 300k+ followers on X, 195k+ members on Discord and a Telegram audience of 140k+
- Hosted Hot Takes side events at Token 2049, ETHDenver and ETHCC Brussels
- Hosted the Unification Cup, a Football oriented side-event bringing together builders from across the ecosystem at ETHCC Brussels and DevCon Bangkok.
- The AVAIL token was listed on multiple exchanges including: Bybit, Whitebit, Kucoin, HTX, BingX, Bitget, Bithumb, Gate.io, HiBT, BVOX, Bitrue, Ourbit, Tapbit, CoinEx, Phemex, MEXC Global, Bilaxy, Mudrex, NovaDAX.

December 2024
Technical Update
- A new version of the light client is being tested. This version improves the client stability regarding its memory use.
- Work has been ongoing the past few months to improve the client libraries for interacting with the Avail network, especially Avail Rust. As well as the associated documentation and examples. If you’re using our libraries, or plan on using them to interact with Avail, please provide feedback as this helps us improve them further!
Network Update
- Transparency Report 10: Successfully expanded the mainnet validator active set to 77 validators, continuing our steady growth in network decentralization.
- Turing network is soon to see a lowering of the active set to 80, to ensure network performance is maintained.
- The Validator Dashboard is now active at validator.availproject.org, designed for precise network monitoring
During India Blockchain Week we hosted a breakfast and dinner with Avail frens and heard from senior R&D developer QEDK on blockchain scalability and interoperability at FILBangalore. We’ll be starting off 2025 with an Avail Shenzhen Meetup, Consensus Hong Kong, and of course, ETH Denver!
