Move Liquidity Quickly & Securely with Avail TEE Nexus

Following a recent acquisition announcement of leading chain abstraction protocol Arcana Network, and the integration of the HyperEVM into the Avail Nexus SDK, we’re now introducing another significant update, the TEE Nexus upgrade.

This upgrade will give developers fast and secure message passing via secure, Trusted Execution Environments to accelerate liquidity movements between apps and blockchains.

Solutions To A Fragmented Blockchain World

With the rising interest in stablecoins, RWAs, and the tokenization of traditional finance, the number of blockchains is rapidly increasing. However, these blockchains often operate in isolated ecosystems, leading to fragmentation. This fragmentation results in smaller pools of liquidity, users, and applications that cannot easily interact with each other, hindering the growth and wider adoption of blockchain technology.

Pockets of interoperability exist between rollup clusters today, and while bridging solutions connect some ecosystems, they require permission to integrate with new ones. Avail is laying the groundwork for decentralized liquidity movement, giving users the ability to freely and securely move their tokens anywhere they want.

Avail Nexus SDK - TEE Upgrade

How can we be sure that a stablecoin launched on Arbitrum can be deposited safely into an L1 like Hyperliquid? If a new, high throughput appchain built on Avail comes along called AvailDeFi, how can a user safely move their tokens to that new chain?

What’s needed is a simple solution that not only makes it easy for users to move their tokens anywhere, but simple enough for developers to use at scale. With the Nexus SDK, developers can simply integrate it once and connect with multiple chains to move assets with intents or secure messaging.

If near instant deposits are required, then the solver network can fulfil intents in 10-15 seconds. If the developer wants to adopt a burn and mint strategy, then the TEE option is initiated and transactions settle in around the time it takes for the blocks to finalize.

Secure Message Passing With Avail

The Avail Nexus SDK already enables the movement of liquidity across 10 different networks, fulfilling intents in around 10-15 seconds. However, secure message passing makes the Nexus SDK even more versatile, enabling the integration of price feeds, mint and burn mechanisms and cryptographic guarantees.

The TEE Nexus upgrade will give developers the ability to move assets quickly and securely, with the flexibility to choose the most suitable crosschain method for their needs. Asset issuers for example can use TEE Nexus to issue assets on multiple networks. Solvers can use TEE Nexus to quickly and efficiently rebalance positions.

Users on the other hand, get to interact with new dApps using the tokens they have already, even when they are on different chains. This eliminates the need for complex and slow workflows that force users to exit apps and manually move their assets.

We’ll be sharing more on the TEE Nexus upgrade, including demos and an overview of the TEE Nexus architecture.
