Mainnet and Beyond: September 2024

Introduction

This past month we've been working closely with our partners building on Avail DA and participating at ETHGlobal Singapore’s hackathon. Let’s get to it!

Highlights

  • Spoke at Korea Blockchain Week, Token 2049 Singapore and ran an Avail track at ETHGlobal Singapore.
  • Announced partnerships with Lens, Layer LabsO3Layer, and Mimir.

Technical Update

  • Work is ongoing to improve the client libraries for interacting with the Avail network. Especially Avail Rust. We’re also adding new examples to make the development on Avail easier.
  • We released new light client versions and deployed them to our networks.
  • Rolling out AIP-3 to decrease the data submission fees on Mainnet to the levels introduced on Turing testnet.

Network Update

  • The latest Avail-Stake-Flow launch automates reward claiming and compounding, enhancing staking efficiency for validators and Nomination Pool members.
  • Web3 Alert is now integrated into the Avail network, providing real-time alerts for validator activities, which supports proactive management across the network.
  • The recent telemetry update has improved both the efficiency and stability of the network.
  • A proposal to reduce the active set number to 100 is being raised on the Avail forum to enhance the Turing network.
